Description

The HMEC Fully Automatic Capping Machine delivers uncompromised speed, repeatability, and dependable closure sealing for high-throughput production lines. Operating on continuous rotary or multi-station indexing principles, the system automatically handles container synchronization, automated cap elevator feeding, precise cap placement, and tightening or crimping.

Built strictly to cGMP and FDA guidelines, the unit comes standard with an advanced industrial PLC and color touchscreen HMI for effortless operation. To meet diverse industry requirements—from standard beverages to sterile pharmaceutical parenterals—the machine offers flexible modular add-ons including optional servo torque monitoring systems, automated pneumatic rejection units, Class 100 Laminar Air Flow (LAF) hoods, and SCADA integration with 21 CFR Part 11 audit trails.

How does a fully automatic capping machine handle caps without operator assistance?

Caps are bulk-loaded into a ground-level floor elevator hopper. The elevator delivers them to an orientation bowl (vibratory or rotary centrifugal), which aligns the caps right-side-up and delivers them down an escapement chute directly into the rotary capping chucks or pick & place station automatically.

What torque control mechanisms are used to avoid cap damage or loose caps?

We implement calibrated non-friction magnetic hysteresis clutches or optional brushless servo drives. Once the set torque limit is reached, the clutch slips smoothly without scuffing the cap or generating abrasive particles, ensuring precise, repeatable torque sealing.

What is the typical changeover time for different bottle formats?

Our tool-less quick release mechanism allows a complete format changeover (starwheels, timing screw, and capping chucks) in approximately 20 to 30 minutes, minimizing production downtime.

Can this machine be integrated with filling and labeling lines?

Yes, the fully automatic capping machine comes standard with synchronized speed controls and infeed/outfeed interlocks that integrate directly into continuous monoblock or inline packaging lines containing bottle washers, liquid fillers, induction sealers, and labelers.

Which features are standard and which are optional on this machine?

Standard: Industrial PLC controller with color touchscreen HMI, automatic floor elevator & sorter, magnetic torque clutches, "No Bottle - No Cap" interlocks, and full cGMP stainless steel construction.
Optional Add-ons: Servo torque monitoring system with live data logging, automated pneumatic rejection system for defective/crooked caps, Class 100 Laminar Air Flow (LAF) hood, and SCADA connectivity with 21 CFR Part 11 compliant audit trails.

Is the machine compliant with cGMP and pharma standards?

Yes, all contact parts are AISI 316L stainless steel, outer surfaces are AISI 304, lubricants are food/pharma grade NSF-H1 compliant, and complete DQ/IQ/OQ qualification documentation is supplied.
